Operating across ten northeastern Iowa counties and connecting directly with four rail carriers at seven different locations provides Iowa Northern Railway's customers many outlet options for their products. Over 180 million bushels of grain, corn and beans combined, cycle through the seventeen country elevator system with a presence on the Iowa Northern. Major consumers of grain traveling the Iowa Northern system include Cargill, ADM and Hawkeye Renewables. The Iowa Northern is able to customize its operations to the needs of its customers versus forcing the customer to tailor its business to railroad service. Maintaining the ability to be responsive and cost effective to our elevators and processors, alike, is the foundation of our service philosophy. The Iowa Northern provides customized service to small and large shippers 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
